TENBURY High School has made further progress in its recovery after being put into special measures at the end of last year with a particular improvement in results in English and Maths.
Head teacher Adrian Price said the latest GCSE results show improvements in key areas demonstrating that a recovery has been established.
But he says that there is still a long way to go and that bringing the school to where he wants it to be is very much ‘work in progress.’
“The overall figure for five GCSEs, including and maths, has improved slightly to 54% and there are pleasing results for many pupils and departments.”
Last year this figure was 51%.
