AS people arrived in Tenbury on Saturday morning they will have seen that the town looked different.
The heart of the town was transformed into a traditional street market.
Instead of cars in the parking bays between the TSB Bank and the telephone box outside the Regal, there were stalls selling foods, drinks and crafts.
It marked the move of the monthly local produce market from the car park adjacent to the Pump Rooms to Teme Street. With the stalls and shops together it is hoped that this will provide a boost to traders in the town.
Teme Street remained open to traffic but the area behind the stalls was taped off to keep cars, lorries, buses and vans away from the traders who faced towards the pavement.
Stalls were also close together to prevent people from moving between them and potentially walking into the road.
It is the second move in just over a year for the market that started in June 2013 in a pub car park and garden before moving to the land alongside the Pump Rooms but away from the main shopping area.
