ALL the stall spaces have been taken for the Ludlow Green Festival that promises to the one of the biggest events of its kind to be held in the town.

The mix of stalls promises plenty of choice from food to savour, to information to inspire, and hand-crafted wares.

This year will see Ludlow Green Festival welcoming plenty of newcomers to Castle Square, including The Centre of Alternative Technology from Machynlleth, The Museum on the Move and a Blacksmithing demonstration by Richard Eaton.

There will also be foraging and bushcraft walks with local expert Don Hale, and a family bike ride to build up an appetite for some of the delicious food on sale.

People can take place in a green trail down to the Linney to explore Ben Gates’ giant interactive sound sculpture, music to listen and dance to, and lots of children’s activities.

A new addition this year is an evening of entertainment at Ludlow Brewery with music from the lively five-piece dancy folk-rock band Rhythm Thieves, supported by talented young singer and song writer Jessie Prentice.

The Green Festival is on Sunday August 24 but earlier in the week there will be a green fashion show at The Feathers.

This promises to be a fun evening of affordable fashion with male and female models, from toddlers to the nifty nineties, showcasing locally made sustainable fashion, fairtrade and upcycled clothing and jewellery.

It will feature clothing that ranges from school uniforms to the latest fashion with ethical and sustainable sourcing in mind, all available in local shops or from local designers.

The Fashion Show is on Wednesday August 20 from 7pm, tickets £7 from The Feathers Hotel or Myriad Organics.
