ANOTHER guided walk is planned over Tittestone Clee.

Titterstone Clee Heritage Trust is hosting the walk on Saturday August 16 led by local historian Alf Jenkins.

It will explore the Dhustone quarry complex and rail sidings.

This is the earliest of the Dhustone quarries dating from around 1864.

It is an area where Alf grew up as the son of the local inn keeper and he has a treasure trove of memories and stories.

Meeting on Dhustone Lane at the top of Rouse Boughton Terraces at 10.30 am the walk will last around two hours and will physically be only moderately challenging.

There is an option to join members of the trust after the walk in the nearby Kremlin Inn.

To book a place call Jan on 01584 890946 or visit the TCHT website at www.thecleehilltrust.co.uk.

There is a charge of £5 per person for each walk which goes towards sustaining the running costs of the trust.
