THE body of a missing man has been found in the River Teme in Ludlow.

A full scale search at Temeside discovered the body after police were alerted at 5pm today.

Inspector Martin Taylor, told The Advertiser at the scene, that the man in question was regarded as a high risk missing person.

“His vehicle was parked down here (Temeside) and in conjunction with the fire and rescue service we have recovered the body of a male from the river,” said Inspector Taylor.

“Enquiries are on-going to formally identify the missing male.

“The family of the missing person have been formally notified that we have recovered a body.”

Police officers were joined by a number of fire engines and a specialist search boat.
