IN high summer Tenbury traders are looking to a darker time.
But they will be hoping to bring some light into a time of year when night will fall early and the thermometer will fall.
As people took off layers to keep cool on a summer Saturday in July, members of the Chamber of Trade have been starting preparations for Christmas.
The Tenbury Chamber of Trade had a stall in Teme Street in order to collect money for the pot that will be used to improve the Christmas illuminations.
It is just over four months before the big switch on that will take place at the end of November. Tenbury is known in the area for the quality of its Christmas lights that are seen as an important part of boosting sales at the most important part of the year for shop keepers.
But the town does not rest upon its laurels and has always tried to add new lights to the display.
