LOWER Broad Residents, Ludlow, would like to thank all those visitors and townspeople who supported our coffee, cakes and plant sale on June 21. It was a glorious 'long day', which over the period 10.30am till around 4.30pm, raised over £700, part of which will go to local charity, Ludlow Relief in Need. It shows that our street is far more than just a picture postcard street of small cottages, but a vibrant local community helping others.
Those who passed by during the course of the evening will have seen that it morphed into a barbecue and social evening attended by some 40 residents. It's an example we'd love to see regularly followed in other Ludlow streets.
