A POLICE witness appeal may help the investigation into a road collision at Newcastle near Craven Arms in which an elderly woman was seriously injured.
Officers investigating the incident at around 9.54am on Wednesday July 2 are anxious to hear from anyone who saw the collision or the circumstances leading to it.
Police say that the vehicles involved were a red Citroen Berlingo and a black BMW Coupe. There was extensive damage to both vehicles.
The driver of the Citroen Berlingo, a 62-year-old woman from Craven Arms, received multiple injuries as a result of the impact and was airlifted to Stoke hospital.
The driver of the BMW, a 37-year-old man from Telford, was treated for minor injuries.
Anyone with information can call police on 101, quoting incident 0141 of July 2, 2014.
