THE mayor of Ludlow is inviting residents to a church service that celebrates the beginning of his mayoral year.
Councillor Paul Draper is inviting the town's residents to the service which takes place on Sunday at St Laurence's Church at 11.30am.
The service will be led by The Venerable Colin Williams, team rector of Ludlow.
The Choir of St Laurence’s Church will be conducted by Shaun Ward, organist and musical director.
The newly refurbished and updated Mayor’s Board will be dedicated during the service.
The collection will be shared between St Laurence’s Church and Homestart, the mayor’s charity for 2014-15.
Ludlow Town Band will also be playing from 11am outside the Buttercross.
Uniformed organisations will parade into church and parade through the streets before and after service.
The mayor will dismiss the parade in Broad Street.
