ENGINEERS have been battling to keep the taps flowing after a series of burst water mains in the Tenbury area.
Teams from Severn Trent Water have been working round the clock for the last few days to make sure customers in the Tenbury area continue to have an efficient water supply.
"We'd like to apologise to our customers in the Tenbury Wells area - we know their water supply may have been a little sporadic over the last couple of days,” said Simon Brown, a water distribution manager for Severn-Trent Water.
“This was due to several pipes bursting, one after another in the area.
"We've had teams working round the clock to try and keep customers in supply and we've been using tankers to bring water into the area. This is working well and all customers now have a good water supply again."
Severn Trent Water says it has recognised a need for investment in the area and will be bringing forward a programme of improvements.
If customers have concerns about this work, or for or any general queries about water or sewerage services, Severn Trent Water’s customer operations centre is available 24 hours a day on 0800 783 4444.
