Charity work by Ludlow fire fighters is recognised

THE team at Ludlow Fire Station were awarded the Dave Bishton Challenge Shield for their charity efforts in raising £1,849 in a year for The Fire Fighters Charity.

From April 2013 to March 2014, they held car washes at a local supermarket and street collections in Ludlow on special event days.

Ludlow fire fighter Jason Norgrove was one of 12 fire fighters to receive the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal after 20 years exemplary service from the Lord Lieutenant Sir Algernon Heber Percy at the ceremony held at the Theatre Severn in Shrewsbury.
