A WEST End star has “debuted” at Ludlow’s Insteps dance academy.

Grace McKee was a special guest of the academy on Sunday taking a workshop for students based on the Broadway and West End musical Cats.

The day raised funds for Grace’s chosen charity Fight for Sight.

Grace has already successfully raised more than £3,000 for the charity that helps fund pioneering eye research in the UK.

Grace, trained at the prestigious Doreen Bird College and, as well as performing in Cats, has also performed in Evita and Top Hat.

Insteps principal Leianne Bates said students and staff had a fantastic time.

“We managed to raise more than £250 and we are all privileged and honoured to have had the opportunity to watch and learn from a West End star like Grace. Following on from the success of this I hope to do more similar events in the future," said Leianne.

Insteps is currently taking on new students for the start of the new academic year in September.
