FAMILIES in Ludlow are to get a chance to enjoy some great food alongside gentle exercise and to challenge each other in a quiz.

The Slow Food Ludlow group has organised a family friendly walk and quiz around Ludlow with some exceptional food stops on the way.

It takes in some of Ludlow’s most enjoyable views and some less well known places of beauty and interest.

Participants will follow the directions and do the quiz as they go and make a meal of it, literary.

“We’re not talking too strenuous – it adds up to about two miles in all so quite doable with children and peppered with food stops,” said Tish Dockerty, who is organising the walk.

“Stops along the way include Roses Pop up Vintage tea tent who will be serving different flavoured mini muffins, canapés by Pea Green Catering, a ‘Piadina’, which is a northern Italian flatbread with cured meats, served by Martyn Emson of Cichetti Bar and Cafe, and some local Ludlow ale as well.

"Which makes it a very pleasant way to spend a Sunday lunch time.”

This year the event takes place on Sunday June 8 and it is essential to buy tickets in advance as there are none available on the day.

They can be purchased online at the www.slowfoodludlow.org.uk website.

The Ludlow Food Walk is organised the local Ludlow Slow Food Group, a not-for-profit group of volunteers who raise funds to help promote local food and drink in the Ludlow area.
