A BOOK of photos has inspired memories of school days gone by ahead of a reunion for the class of '89.
A book containing photos of the year that left Ludlow School in 1989 has bought recollections flooding back to a time that might be described as the decade fashion abandoned.
Rah rah skirts, leg warmers and lots of fluorescent items are some of the fashion faux pas remembered by reunion organisers Sharon Turner and Tracey Chidley.
And musically the era was hardly a classic one with the pair remembering lots of Stock, Aitken and Waterman hits with the most notable stars being Jason Donovan and Kylie Minogue.
"But I was more into the old stuff like Queen and Motown," points out Sharon quickly.
"It is 25 years since we left on May 18 so a reunion now seems poignant."
This reunion will take place at the Charlton Arms on June 14 from 7pm to late.
Partners are welcome but purchasing before the date is recommended.
"The room holds 110 people," said Sharon, "so not everybody will be able to fit in."
Proceeds will be given to Severn Hospice.
"There isn't any particular reason for this," says Sharon, "it's just that we have lost seven people from our year already."
Tickets cost £10 per person and are available from CWA Pet Supplies in Upper Galdeford or from calling Sharon on 01584 873214.
