BUDDING photographers have learnt more about the art of photography at a Ludlow community centre.

A three week workshop has been staged at the Rockspring Community Centre.

An interest in photography and a basic camera were all that was needed on the course.

It began with the chance to learn about the features of a camera and the often confusing choices of modes available such as manual and automatic, as well as the role of the aperture and shutter speeds.

Having learned the way around the camera students then spent a day on location in and around Ludlow Castle.

Finally there was a lesson in the art of getting the best from an electronic darkroom and using Photoshop to manipulate images.

Photography is just one of a range of courses and workshops available at The Rockspring Centre.
