AUTHOR Ed Hancox is coming to Church Stretton.
Ed will be at Church Stretton Library next Wednesday (April 9) at 7pm.
This will be a talk by the author of 'Iceland, Defrosted', which concentrates on the places, people and experiences found in Iceland, sound tracked by the coolest Icelandic musicians, all wrapped up in the warmest lopapeysa (an Icelandic sweater), and jump-started with the strongest coffee.
Iceland is less about ‘wars’ over codfish, flight-halting volcanoes or globe-shattering financiers, and more about relaxing in natural hotpots, sharing barbecues in howling winter storms, eating waffles and rhubarb jam while watching playful Arctic foxes, and desperately searching for the elusive Northern Lights.
Ed will describe not only his travels, but the journey of writing and subsequently funding the book.
