A SCHOOL near Ludlow has been celebrating Sports Relief with a Disability Awareness Day today.
Children at Orleton C.E.Primary School are spending the day learning how to play wheelchair basketball, blind football, and seated boule with the help of their teachers and Adam Button, chairman of the Hereford Harriers Wheelchair Basketball team, and Adam Nixon, a level two coach for the club.
"Wheelchair basketball is good fun," said Adam Nixon. "It gives everybody a chance to play. You don't have to be disabled to have a go at it except at the higher level."
The Hereford Harriers are looking to recruit new members and would love to hear from anybody who would be interested in playing. Adam Button can be contacted on 07879494114.
