A GROUP of Bishops Castle Community College students enjoyed a week's skiing in the French Alps during half term. They stayed at Auron in the region of Alpes Maritimes.
Teachers Linda Martin (senior head of year) and Rachel Owen accompanied 14 students from years nine, 10 and 11, and were delighted with the progress everyone made on the slopes.
Linda Martin commented on their return to Shropshire, “Intermediate skiers in the group tackled some exciting black runs with confidence and while the icy red runs were quite a challenge for the beginners, by the end of the week they all had a positive attitude and succeeded getting down them in style.
"We had a friendly hotel, good food and excellent instructors which added to the success of the trip. Everyone enjoyed it.”
