STUDENTS at Ludlow College are getting ready to rock you with an ambitious version of a West End hit musical.
This week the college’s production of the multi-award winning show We Will Rock You opens at the Assembly Rooms in Ludlow, and some members of the cast were out and about promoting the show this week, with an impromptu performance in town.
The action is set in the future where mindless manufactured music is the norm and everyone is the same, hope of breaking free rests with an unlikely resistance – the Rebel Bohemians who inhabit the subterranean regions of iPlanet, waiting for a hero to bring the power of Rock back to the people.
Written by comedian Ben Elton the show boasts what you might call a rock-tastic score featuring, Another One Bites The Dust, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, We are the Champions, Bohemian Rhapsody and of course, We Will Rock You.
The show opens today, Thursday March 13, and runs until Saturday.
Tickets are priced at £9, or £7 for concessions, and the show starts at 7.30pm each night.
