AFC LUDLOW boss Dave Cooper wants his players to sign off their season in style by ending the campaign unbeaten, writes LEWIS DEAKIN.

Cooper’s men have beaten Red Star Alma 5-0, Team Dudley 2-1 and Malvern Rangers 13-1 in 2014.

AFC Ludlow are second in the West Midlands League Division Two, and Cooper insists he is delighted with his players.

He said: “To be honest for the last few matches, I’ve been very happy with our recent performances. At home we did let ourselves down in 2013, and that is why other sides have a better chance than us of winning the title.

“But I have every belief - we will win all of our games until the end of the season. If we can keep our performance levels’ up.”

The manager revealed he is looking to organise some friendly game for AFC Ludlow to maintain his men’s momentum.

AFC Ludlow’s away match against Dudley last weekend was postponed, because of a waterlogged pitch.

Cooper admits he was very frustrated that the game was called off.

He insists AFC Ludlow were raring to do the double over the league leaders.

Cooper said: “We will be playing a friendly game against Ludlow Town Colts on Saturday. I’m arranging friendly matches to maintain our current momentum.

“All we can do is keep on winning - we will keep on playing and go on until the end of the season. Fingers crossed one of the teams will slip up and we will be there to take advantage.”

The players are enjoying their football again, boss Cooper insists.

Cooper said: “Everyone in the squad is enjoying their football again. While other teams weren’t playing games, because of the weather we were. Therefore, we have kept that togetherness as a unit. Our team spirit is fantastic.”
