Ludlow Food Centre to hold fundraising walk for Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research
IT is time to ‘step out’ to beat blood cancers.
Ludlow Food Centre is organising a fundraising walk through the beautiful South Shropshire estate of Oakly Park, situated just outside the market town of Ludlow, to raise money for blood cancer charity Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.
The three mile walk will take place within the 8,000 acre estate and will start at the award winning Ludlow Food Centre at 10.30am on Sunday March 23.
It is all on tarmac so is accessible for push chairs and wheelchairs.
Ludlow Food Centre has already raised £1,123 for the charity through other fundraising initiatives, and are inviting members of the community to sign up to this latest event to help beat blood cancer.
Registration is £10 for adults, £5 for children or £25 for a family of four. Participants are also encouraged to get sponsorship to help raise even more money for the charity.
“We hope that many members of the local community will join us and support our event,” said Tom Hunt, marketing manager at The Food Centre.
“It’s a brilliant opportunity to help raise funds for this wonderful charity to help beat blood cancer.”
The charity says that the walk is a great way to support their work.
“Every penny raised helps us in our mission to beat blood cancer, by stopping people from dying and making patients’ lives better,” said Cathy Gilman, chief executive of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research.”
