HEREFORD Diocese, which includes Ludlow and other parts of south Shropshire, is hosting a special meeting on how the Church of England should respond to same sex marriage.
A new report suggests that the church should start discussions on the subject that account for different views and consider holding services to mark civil partnerships.
The Bishop of Gloucester, The Rt Rev Michael Perham, was one of the members of the group behind the report. He will attend a special meeting to talk about the report’s findings and take questions.
That meeting is planned for 7pm on Thursday March 13 at St Barnabas Church, Venns Lane, Hereford. All are welcome to attend
It has been organised by Hereford Diocese Inclusive Church Forum, a group of clergy and church goers committed to the full inclusion of all people in the Church of England regardless of gender or sexual orientation.
