COLOUR Sergeant Liberty Perry, a year 12 pupil at Lucton School has been selected to become the Lord Lieutenant's CCF Cadet for Herefordshire.
Each year cadets are recommended to the Lord Lieutenant for Herefordshire, Lady Darnley and those selected are given the opportunity to accompany her and assist at various events and occasions, including royal visits and civic ceremonies.
Gill Thorne, Lucton School headteacher, praised Liberty's accomplishment, saying “Liberty is such an active member of the school and has been a dedicated and loyal cadet participating in all the activities and training opportunities offered. This is a tremendous honour and we are all incredibly proud of Liberty.”
Liberty will be formally appointed at a ceremony in Hereford on March 4.
