Flood alerts in place for River Teme and River Corve - affecting tributaries both north and south of Ludlow and Tenbury area

THE environment agency has issued flood alerts for  Leintwardine, Onibury and Ludlow on the River Corve.

There are also alerts for Tenbury, Newnham Bridge, Stanford Bridge, Knightsford and Bransford.

Although the level at the Tenbury gauge was said today to be 3.05 metres and falling, further rain is forecast.

The level at Newnham Bridge Gauge is said to be 'steady'. The level at the Stanford Bridge Gauge While the levels at Knightsford and Bransford were said to be falling.

Much will depend on the weather over the next 24 hours, with wintry showers forecast across today and tomorrow.
