Ludlow voters face two elections

Ludlow Advertiser: Voters in Ludlow could see two elections in March. Voters in Ludlow could see two elections in March.

PEOPLE in Ludlow face the prospect of going to the polls twice in March.
They will be voting on Thursday March 13 to see who will take the place of Rosanna Taylor-Smith as the member for Ludlow North on Shropshire Council.
So far three candidates have declared their intention to run for the seat.
Anthony Bevington hopes to retain the seat for the Conservatives, while Andy Boddington is looking to give the Liberal Democrats a boost.
Graeme Perks, who is now an independent town councillor and has in the past sat as a Conservative on the former South Shropshire District Council, is also seeking election.
Residents in Ludlow’s Whitcliffe ward could also find themselves with the chance to vote for a replacement to Priscilla Toop who has resigned from Ludlow Town Council.
However, this will depend upon enough electors calling for a poll and if this does not happen the position will be filled by co-option.
