LUDLOW has woken up this morning for the first time in nearly 100 years without the iconic De Greys tearoom.
The Ludlow business has closed its doors for the last time with the loss of 40 jobs.
Robbie Underhill of De Greys has confirmed that all three parts of the business- the bakery and shop, the restaurant and bed and breakfast have closed.
The decsion followed a consultation with staff about the future of the business that has been making a loss for a number of years.
Jim Smithers, the mayor of Ludlow, said that De Greys had been an important tourist attraction for the town.
