Poet laureate Carol Anne Duffy will be joining Tenbury’s annual Mistletoe Festival

POET laureate Carol Anne Duffy will be joining Tenbury’s annual celebration of the ‘kissing tree.’ The town is gearing up for the Mistletoe Festival that will include the auctions that bring buyers from all over the country.
National Storytelling Laureate Katrice Horsley and author Cat Weatherill will also be taking part.
This year's Mistletoe Festival day offers seasonal, historical and contemporary enter tainment in the form of music, dance, poetry and story-telling with a focus on family fun.
T he streets of Tenbury will come alive with various indoor and outdoor performances, recitals and mischief throughout the day and into the evening.
To highlight just how important the mistletoe plant is to local people and the regional economy, the history and tradition of Christmas will be celebrated with a colourful procession through the town centre, led by the Mistletoe Queen.
Tenbury’s Mistletoe Festival starts at 10am on Saturday, November 30.
Between Friday November 22 and Sunday, December 22, the programme of events will also include three mistletoe auctions, storytelling evenings for all ages, winter produce markets and a Santa's Parade.
