A MOTORCYCLIST was airlifted to hospital after being involved in a collision with a tractor and trailer in south Shropshire.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with serious leg and face injuries following the collision on Angel Bank, Bitterley, near Ludlow, shortly before 8pm yesterday evening (July 1).
His silver Yamaha R6 motorbike was in collision with a red Zetor tractor and trailer. Both vehicles were travelling up Angel Bank from Ludlow towards Clee Hill.
West Mercia Police have issued an appeal for witnesses.
Anyone who saw the collision or the circumstances leading up to it can call Shrewsbury Police Station on 101.
It is thought the motorcyclist may have been travelling with another motorcyclist at the time.
The road was closed and diversions set up while the emergency services worked at the scene.
