KATIE Lloyd and Ray Hall of the Plough Inn, at Wistanstow, raise a glass of Twist Grip, brewed at the next-door Wood Brewery.

The pub holds its first ever beer festival this weekend, Saturday and Sunday March 23 and 24, to coincide with the village’s 22nd annual vintage motorcycle show, for which Wood’s first brewed Twist Grip.

More than a dozen different guest beers will feature at the Plough during the festival and the pub is promising 10p to Wistanstow Primary School for every pint.

“We’re really looking forward to it and we hope it proves to be an enjoyable extra attraction to the bike show,”

said landlord Ray.
