THE sounds that kept Britain going in the blitz will resound in Tenbury.

Sue Corfield, Tenbury’s mayor, hopes to lift the spirits with a special charity performance at The Regal entitled We’ll Meet Again.

It will feature the songs that were so popular during the war years.

The show is made up of music, comedy and song.

Directed by Duggie Chapman, it stars Marilyn Hill Smith supported by Andy Eastwood, Adam Dayle, Tony Lenton, Martin Francis and the Martyn St James Band.

There will be a black tie reception before the show and proceeds will be split between the three charities Sue has chosen to support during her year in office.

These are: League of Friends of Tenbury Hospital, the Worcestershire Breast Care Unit and The Regal Tenbury Trust.

The show is on Saturday, April 20 with a reception at 6.30pm followed by the show at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £27.50 to include the reception and £17.50 for the performance only.
