MOTORISTS in Ludlow and south Shropshire are warned to be on their guard if someone tries to flag them down.
Police have reported a number of incidents in which drivers have been flagged down as they drove through the area.
They are being asked for help to buy fuel.
Those involved are described as of Armenian or East European appearance. An increase in the theft of petrol, fuel oil and diesel in the area has also been logged by police.
