Talent show fever at Ludlow Talent show fever at Ludlow

ENTRIES have been flooding in to a major talent competition which is the talk of Ludlow.

Nearly 40 acts incorporating 60 performers have applied to take part in Young Ludlow’s Got Talent.

The closing date is today, and organisers are already squeezing acts into the auditions on March 9 and 10.

Among the schools and colleges represented are Bedstone, Hereford Sixth form college, Lacon Childe, Ludlow CE, Ludlow College and, Wigmore High School.

And there is an impressive line-up of judges, including actor and writer Tim Wallers, (Yes Prime Minister, New Tricks), dance professional Carly Adams, who sang and choreographed professionally from 1983 to 1998 at various UK theatres and abroad, as well as tnternational theatrical agent Chris Davis, of CDM Management, a leading agency with a diverse client base has also agreed to be a finals judge.

His client list includes a raft of actors, personalities, singers, directors and choreographers, working in film, television, theatre, and concerts.

Chris has revitalised the Regal at Tenbury Wells, persuading clients Paul Daniels, Debbie McGee, Tony Christie, Ruby Turner, the Mart Rodger Manchester Jazz Band and Marti Pellow to appear there Ludlow College students Caitlin Ingram and Isabella Lowery have been working with Ludlow Rotary Club on the event and will be taking part in the final on Saturday, April 20 where they will take on the roles of presenters for the show.

Local solicitors Lanyon Bowdler are among the event’s sponsors.

The Eco Park-based firm has sponsored a range of events, many of which have supported children's charities.

Tickets are available from Ludlow Assembly Rooms, £8 or £5 for concessions.
