FORMER Ludlow School students who are now starting to lose their increasingly greying hair are getting back together.

A reunion is being organised this summer for students who left Ludlow School in 1988.

"A few of us were chatting about it being 25 years since we left this year and it seemed like a really good idea to organise a get-together,"

said Dave ‘Magnum’ Thomas, now 40, who is organising the event.

The friends started a page on Facebook to gauge interest about it and were amazed at how many former pupils wanted to come.

"We started selling tickets last week and have sold more than 60 already,”

added Dave.

“I've been in contact with Malcolm Weaver at Ludlow school and he's spreading the word to present and former teachers also.

"If anyone has a friend or relative who left Ludlow School in 1988, then ask them to contact us if they'd like to attend.

"The evening is not just a chance to catch up and swap old stories, but we'll also remember those pupils and teachers who aren't with us anymore."

Pupils can find the info page on facebook under Ludlow 88ers or Contact Dave - magsemail@tiscali.co.uk or Declan - peterparker_ 1962@yahoo.co.uk The event will take place at The Ludlow Brewery on Saturday June 22 from 7pm- 12am and tickets are £10.
