Have you got what it takes? The search continues for Ludlow's young talent

THE pace is stepping up in the bid to discover uncover Ludlow’s talented performers.

Insteps Dance Studio in the town has entered five different acts, in Young Ludlow's Got Talent, including a modern cabaret dance routine featuring students, for the talent contest being run by Ludlow Rotary Club.

Entries are coming in from local schools and individuals too.

Modern cabaret dance, street dance, tap, rock, jazz and swing singing, playing an instrument, singing a self-written song to guitar accompaniment, a duo featuring piano accompanist of a singer and acting are among the ‘turns’ already waiting to be given audition dates.

Several entrants are taking part more than once, by competing as part of a group and individually or in a duet.

There is a video featuring entrants from Ludlow College and students at Ludlow School taking part in a dance class.

A number of them will be entering, including girls who perform with Fuzion Dance and Cheer and Lightsdown. The video which was shot by local video professional Adam Read of InterMedia Communications can be seen on YouTube.

It encourages more local young people to enter, and outlines the entry requirements.

Audition heats are on March 9 and 10 and the final at the Assembly Rooms is on Saturday, April 20.
