LUDLOW College is giving musicians the chance to follow the lead of Jimi Hendrix or Django Reinhardt.
The college is offering a ten week beginners course starting with local teacher Lee Jones.
Lee Jones, Nu Jazz/Americana guitarist and composer and also former Ludlow College student of 10 years ago, has returned to teach budding guitarists and students.
The guitarist was described by The Observer as having “a fully developed personal style” lives in Ludlow.
After winning Jazz FMs ‘Best New Instrumentalist’ award he attended the Birmingham Conservatoire studying with Partisans guitarist Phil Robson.
He now tours the UK playing in concerts and playing his own gigs, and has appeared at the Ludlow Assembly Rooms on a number of occasions.
Lee has released two solo albums and has also appeared at a number of national Jazz Festivals.
He is currently recording his third album and does a regular spot in Foyles Book Shop’s Jazz Café in London and also appeared as a special guest with guitarist Martin Taylor in London.
