A LUDLOW lady is barely half the woman she was.

Genevieve Lewis has had to throw away her wardrobe and start again after shedding more than seven stone.

The 67-year-old now tips the scales at just over 10 stone compared with more than 17 when she started her weight loss campaign in the spring of 2011.

She is a changed woman and now shops for dresses in size 14 compared to the sizes 24-26 she used to wear.

“My weight was killing me,” said Genevieve who puts her success down to a combination of sensible eating and exercise helped by the Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness Club.

“I knew the fat was squashing my vital organs and was also making my asthma worse. I could not walk very far before having to stop every few yards to catch my breath and I was feeling the strain on my knees and hips.

“This is the first time in my adult life I have weighed 10 stone and it’s so exciting.”

She says the weight loss has enabled her to throw away medication for high blood pressure.

“I have been taken of f medication for high blood pressure which my GP says was down to the weight loss and the amount of exercise I do.”

Genevieve has also been able to follow in the footsteps of her son and take up the martial art of taekwondo.

She has scooped the Rosemary Conley Diet and Fitness Magazine semifinalist slimmer of the year award for 2013.
