Carer nominated by the Shropshire Carers Project for a special flight

KIA Morris travels every day from her home in Craven Arms to study at Ludlow College.

But for this 16-year-old her work can begin long before she goes out in the morning and continue after she gets home.

Kia is an unsung hero although she would deny it.

As a young carer she is especially deserving of a treat and was nominated by the Shropshire Carers Project for a special flight provided by the Ludlow Advertiser.

The treat was to join other children and young people on a flight operated by Birmingham-based Cello Aviation in a luxuriously appointed aircraft used to fly Premier League football teams and musical stars including Jessie J and Coldplay.

Kia also had the chance to meet James Roe who took Paralympic gold in the rowing.

“It was a great experience and I really enjoyed myself,”

said Kia.
