THE Regal in Tenbury Wells presents a varied menu of entertainment this week, starting tomorrow with the Upbeat Beatles, who bring their Long and Winding Road Tour to the venue. The band promises “no tricks, no backing tracks – just great powerhouse vocals and close harmonies pumped out with a driving backbeat to give you a night you’ll never forget.”

On Saturday, there’s fun for all the family as the National Clown Theatre makes its first ever visit to Tenbury, with their fun-filled family show featuring slapstick comedy, magic, circus acts, prizes and surprises. Bucketfuls of laughs and gallons of fun are promised. Entry is free for under-twos.

Laughs of a different kind are on offer next Friday, November 23, when Gyles Brandreth brings his one-man show to the Regal. The actor, author, broadcaster, One Show reporter, former MP and government whip turns raconteur and spills the beans on his life in show business and politics. This is Brandreth unleashed on the stars he’s known (one-to-one) and the wicked ways of Westminster (no expenses spared). Without hesitation or repetition (and just a touch of deviation), Just a Minute regular Gyles delivers a dazzling evening of wit, wordplay and hilarious name-dropping – from The Queen to Kermit the Frog.

From Monday to Wednesday, The Regal will be showing The Five Year Engagement, starring Emily Blunt.
