CHRIS ‘Cyril’ Martin’s four-goal salvo led Leintwardine Colts to a 7-0 blitz over Tenbury Colts in Herefordshire League Division Three.

Robbie Godding, Ben Price and Tom George also hit the target for Chris Shurmer’s rampant side.

Newcastle also lost midfielder John Bateson, who suffered a first-half hamstring injury. Cardigan outfit Llanybydder took the lead against the run of play after 25 minutes. Newcastle’s defence was caught out by a long clearance which led to a tap-in.

Llanybydder increased their lead after the break before Windsor gave Newcastle hope, netting from close range in the 70th minute.

Scott Oxford, captain Richard Williams and Richard Jones almost forced extra-time but Llanybydder sealed their cup success with three minutes remaining.

BUCKNELL progressed in the Shropshire Junior Cup with a 4-3 success over Spalaig Brittania FC.

Ryan Bufton scored twice from the penalty spot for Bucknell with Jake Baker and Wayne Davies netting the others. Bucknell go to Radnor Valley in the league this Saturday.
