TWO tries from Dan Rawlings helped Ludlow record a 27-21 win against Walsall on Saturday - their first success in Midlands One West this season.

Will Sparrow, Joe Doyle and Will Norton also went under the posts for Dave Irish’s side.

“It was a much needed win as we have come into a run of games against clubs around us, so every game is like a sixpointer,”

said Irish.

“It was a shame that they got two bonus points, but we will take five points and the win.”

Ludlow will hope to get another win under their belts when they travel to Barkers Butts on Saturday.

Two tries from Richard Wozencroft gave Tenbury captain Pete Stevens the best birthday present as his team stormed to a thumping 60-12 win against bottom club Telford Hornets in Midlands Four West (North).

Tenbury are in a rich vein of form and are looking forward to facing local rivals Clee Hill this Saturday.

“Everyone had a good display and to beat Telford 60-12 is very pleasing,” said Stevens, who celebrated his 37th birthday on Friday.

“It’s a different game for us on Saturday against Clee Hill, but we treat every game the same.”

Andy Black, Chuck Parry, Ben King, Matt Ward, Luke Brittain and Alex Brazier also went under the posts for Tenbury, with the latter getting 25 points in total.

Meanwhile, Tenbury have been drawn to face Midlands Four West (South) side Harbury at home in the third round of the Midlands Junior Vase.

The tie will be played on November 10, with the final taking place at Twickenham.

Clee Hill go into the derby game on the back of a heavy 47-7 defeat against Market Drayton.

“We only had three backs, which is the not the best situation to be in, but we had a good game considering,” said Clee Hill captain Matt Bowen. “It is a big game against Tenbury and I think we can get at them. I will be targeting Pete Stevens, but it should be good banter,” joked Bowen.

Meanwhile, Cleobury lost 19-5 to top-ofthe- table Bruntwood in Midlands Three West (North) with Alex Howman’s try being Cleobury’s only success.
