Ludlow 0 pts Luctonians 2nd 25.

LUDLOW played second fiddle to a strong Luctonians second XV, who came to the Linney in determined mood.

The home side had the wind at their backs in the first half but tried to play too much running football and rarely threatened to break through a solid defence, making far too many mistakes along the way. The visitors scored two tries to lead 12-0.

Ludlow were pinned back in defence for much of the second half, with Luctonians not making the same mistake, by kicking their way into attacking positions. The visitors scored two tries and a penalty to double their tally.

On Saturday, Ludlow have another crucial Midlands 3 West (North) match when they play Aston Old Edwardians away.

The Birmingham- based outfit have improved significantly since Ludlow recorded a comfortable win against them at the Linney.

They are now just a point behind, in fourth spot.
