Martley and Tenbury neighbourhood policing team

Inspector Deborah Sanders

Inspector Deborah Sanders is responsible for the Safer Neighbourhood Teams in Malvern, Upton, Tenbury, Droitwich, Evesham and Pershore. She has 21 years service with West Mercia Police, and has undertaken the role of Safer Neighbourhood Inspector since October 2014. Prior to that, she was a Patrol Inspector, responsible for 24/7 response policing in South Worcestershire, and has also had Inspector roles in the Professional Standards Department and Force Operations Department.

Police Community Support Officer Teresa Howells-Brown

I joined West Mercia in August 2006, starting my career in Stourport on Severn. In May 2008 I requested a transfer to Tenbury Wells where I have remained.

Part of my duties in the community involves youth involvement in a number of events including; Tag Rugby and various youth club events.

I work closely with the rest of the team and together we are heavily involved with organising events in Tenbury including The Party in the Park (which I am proud to say I introduced to Tenbury), Apple Fest and the Mistletoe Fest.

Police Community Support Officer Vanessa Snape

I joined West Mercia in July 2006 and I have been stationed at Tenbury Wells ever since. Supporting the community in a number of ways is important to me and working with young people is a priority. I have long been involved with the local schools, including the high school where I work with the vulnerable groups and provide a mentoring service. I attend several youth club events and other similar opportunities to engage with the young people of our area. I like to be involved in the organising of the many public events including the Party in the Park, Apple Fest and the Mistletoe Fest.

Police Constable Mark Broughton

PC Broughton has been a serving officer within West Mercia Police since December 2002. He has served across the force area before being posted to the Cathedral Safer Neighbourhood Team in October 2011.

Sergeant Simon Hallam

I began my career with West Mercia Police in 1998 and have been involved in frontline policing ever since. Having worked within the response role initially as a PC within the Malvern area, I was promoted to Sergeant during this posting. I have subsequently worked as a Custody Sergeant within the busy cell block at Worcester Police Station and on completion of this posting I spent two years working within the South Worcestershire Operational Response Unit having responsibility for firearm response and serious road traffic collision matters.

I moved to the arena of Safer Neighbourhood Policing at Warndon, Worcester in June 2015 following a five year spell on patrol duties within Evesham. Having spent almost three years in post having responsibilities for some of the challenging areas of higher need within East Worcester I have now moved back to where I began my career. I look forward to tackling the new challenges of rural policing within the Malvern Hills District.
