Lily Allen has said she feels “grateful to be alive” after being injured in a gas explosion while camping.

The 30-year-old singer and mother-of-two suffered minor burns and singed eyelashes after the gas stove in her caravan exploded.

Lily took to social media to warn festival goers not to suffer the same fate.

She wrote on Instagram: “I was in a gas explosion in my caravan today and I have minor burns and synged [sic] my eyelashes considerably. it was absolutely terrifying and I wouldn’t want anyone to go through anything similar. please be SO careful using gas stoves at anytime but especially during festival season when one’s reaction times may be a little off. Feeling very grateful to be alive. Happy camping.”

The Sheezus star is a big fan of Glastonbury Festival and has been going since she was a child with her father Keith Allen. She has performed there several times, including last year.

Lily had earlier teased she had arrived at Worthy Farm early by posting pictures of her caravan and a campsite with the hastag #glastonbury2015.

Glastonbury 2015 begins on Wednesday June 24.
