Clun Valley Jazz and the Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre embarked on an exciting new live music partnership last year which has proved a big hit with the local community. In the famous central rotunda, audiences have enjoyed performances from award winning musicians as well a licensed bar and hot meals provided by the staff at the Centre. After securing Leader funding for developing the centre, the rotunda was refurbished to include a top of the range projector and cinema screen as well as a new levelled floor, making it an ideal space for live performances.

The next gig is on Friday, May 18 with Chris Young's Quartet, Four Corners. Led by talented saxophonist, Chris Young, this brand new project features some of the country's finest rising jazz stars: BBC Young Musician runner up Elliot Sansom (piano), Ben Muirhead (bass) and James Bashford (drums).

Tickets are £12 with the optional extra of a meal (Shropshire fried chicken (or halloumi), fries and coleslaw, for just £8.
