The Leominster Festival, which runs from Friday, June 2 to Sunday, June 11 has announced the line up for this year's festival, the 33rd, which will take as its theme, Paint the Town.

The programme features more than 30 events this year, with a selection of music and film, talks and walks, culminating in the grand finale with Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. There will be Jazz with Pizazz, Livewire Showcase and Leominster Choral Society performing Karl Jenkins Armed Man and John Rutter’s Gloria. Talks will be given by Robin Cartwright bestselling historical novelist Anne O’Brien, while a programme of walks will include Footsteps through Early Leominster and a Walk around Quaker Leominster.

One of the highlights of the festival will be the Family Fun Day at Grange Court on Saturday, June 10, a day of free activities including performances by Fetch Theatre Company, a dog show, bouncy castle and face painting.

Richard Bookman, chairman of the Leominster Festival, said: “We are very excited about this year’s line up. The week long festival attracts more than 3,000 visitors during the week. To link with the theme of Paint the Town we will be hosting illustration workshops at the Priory throughout the week, as well as other pop-up events. One of my personal highlights is the Big Pub Quiz in Broad Street, which this year is sponsored by the Swan Brewery."
