Herefordshire Historic Churches Trust welcome The Clothworkers Consort of Leeds, one of the finest choral ensembles in the North of England to their line up of Music in Quiet Places concerts on Wednesday, April 19.

This prestigious choir was formed in 2001 and compares favourably with many Oxbridge Chapel Choirs. They are based in the School of Music at the University of Leeds and have sung at many UK cathedrals, and toured abroad.

The concert, featuring a programme described as ‘Bach to Beachboys', takes place at St Bartholomew’s Church, Much Marcle on Wednesday, April 19 at 7pm.

“We were delighted to be approached by this outstanding choral ensemble to perform in our second series of Music in Quiet Places, which has proven once again to be hugely popular this year," said HHCT Chairman, David Furnival.

Proceeds from the retiring collection will be split between St Bartholomew’s Church and the HHCT who help to maintain Herefordshire’s places of worship.

The Clothworkers Consort of Leeds will also sing Evensong in Hereford Cathedral on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, April 18, 20 and 21.

Entrance is free and tickets can be reserved from www.eventbrite.co.uk - search for ‘Music in Quiet Places’.
