FOLLOWING the success of Lakefest 2016, the organisers are pleased to announce the first two musical acts to the Lakefest 2017 line-up.?Alabama 3 and Seth Lakeman will be taking to the stage at the family friendly music festival, which is returning to Eastnor Castle Deer Park on August 10-14 2017.

Alabama 3 are an English band who hail from Brixton, London and were formed in 1995 and are renowned for their fusion of musical genres: rock, electronic, blues, country, gospel, and the spoken word. Their ironic song lyrics, and on-stage personas that are adopted by each member result in impressive, live performances that will appeal to a variety of festival-goers. The group achieved huge success when the producers of hit TV series The Sopranos chose the track, Woke Up This Morning, for the show's opening credits.?Mercury Music Prize (2005) nominee, Seth Lakeman is an English folk singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, who is most often associated with the fiddle and tenor guitar, but also plays the viola and banjo. Lakeman has belonged to several musical ensembles, including one with his two brothers, fellow folk musicians Sam Lakeman and Sean Lakeman, but has most recently established himself as a solo act. ?The organisers of Lakefest, winners of Best Small Festival in the Festival Kidz awards for 2015, promise even more magical fun for 2017 – the sixth consecutive year of the event.
