FROM Wednesday, November 30 to Saturday, December 3, Two Score Theatre Company will present its production of All The World’s A Stage, in collaboration with Kim Begley, internationally acclaimed opera singer and Ludlow resident.
Kim, a Grammy award winner and Olivier award nominee, has performed at all the world’s major opera houses and with all the major orchestras under conductors such as Sir Georg Solti and Sir Simon Rattle, sang for five years at the Royal Opera, during which he performed thirty-five roles, and is a regular guest at The Metropolitan, New York, La Scala in Milan, English National Opera, Bayreuth and Glyndebourne.
Now he is directing Two Score’s All The World’s A Stage, a celebration of Shakespeare's work in words and music, to be performed at the Ludlow Methodist Church Hall.
The production will feature soliloquies and scenes from Shakespeare's greatest works, such as Hamlet, Macbeth, Othello, Julius Caesar, King Lear and Richard III, plus lighter fare from The Merry Wives of Windsor and A Midsummer Night's Dream, as well as sonnets, all accompanied live by a new musical soundscape, composed specially for the show.
All the World's a Stage runs from Wednesday, November 30 to Saturday, December 3 at Ludlow Methodist Church. All performances start at 7.30pm. To book, call Ludlow Assembly Rooms box office on 01684 892277 or visit ludlowassemblyrooms.co.uk
