THE Abandoned Room Collective return to Ludlow after their celebrated exhibition two years ago. Set up by artist Hamish Dolphin, the Abandoned Room Collective is a group of local artists from the South Shropshire area, named after the venue of their first joint exhibition, held in a disused room, hidden at the top of The Period House Shop in Ludlow.
“The aim behind the Abandoned Room Collective was originally to hold an exhibition of work in many different shapes and sizes and styles, full of ideas to intrigue and things of interest," Hamish explains. "We’re delighted to be returning to Ludlow, this time to the gallery in the Assembly Rooms, and we hope that you’ll all come and see what we’ve created with our theme of Revolution.”
Artists featured in the exhibition include Julia Walling, Roots & The Rumble, ceramicist Michelle Doherty, letterpress print maker and designer Mostly Flat, printmaker Chris Snow, digital artist A +B = C, mixed media artist Elspeth Weston and Ross Prince.
The free exhibition takes place in the fifth floor Gallery in Ludlow Assembly Rooms from Saturday and runs until Saturday, July 2.
