THE internationally acclaimed British pianist Mark Bebbington will give a piano recital in the lovely setting of Hellens, Much Marcle on Sunday, September 6 at 3pm.
The programme will comprise some of the best loved works in the piano repertoire: Beethoven’s Appassionata Sonata, four works by Chopin (Barcarolle, Tarantella, a Nocturne and the B flat minor Scherzo), Franck’s Prelude, Chorale and Fugue, John Ireland’s London Pieces and the première of an exciting short work by Malvern-resident composer Derek Smith.
The critical plaudits which have greeted Mark’s performances and recordings have singled him out as a British pianist of the rarest refinement and maturity.
